Embodied Intentions: Yin + Sound Bath Class
Time & Location
About the Event
Yin is a slow and balancing practice of floor postures held for three to five minutes. You can expect about 5 to 8 postures per class. The postures are designed to target the body’s fascia (connective tissue), joints, bones, and ligaments as opposed to the muscles targeted in a yang flow-style class. With ample use of props, yin yoga is truly for every body. Yin will help you level-up and sustain your flow-based practice. Yin promotes a sweet, slow unwinding and release. It helps release trauma stored in our tissues, and mitigates the mental stress of everyday life. As an added bonus, it also works to drain and detox the lymphs. Crystal sound bowls, and tuning forks will be utilized throughout class to amplify healing, and induce a deeper state of meditation.
